2026 AustStab Pavement Recycling and Stabilisation Conference – Registrations

15 -16 September 2026 | Novotel – Parramatta, New South Wales

About the Conference
Australia’s road network, our largest and most critical infrastructure asset, is under increasing pressure.Climate variability, constrained resources, ageing assets and rising construction costs are challenging how we design, deliver and maintain our infrastructure. At the same time, expectations around sustainability, resilience and performance have never been higher.

The AustStab National Conference 2026 brings industry together to explore how smarter approaches to ground improvement, pavement recycling and stabilisation are delivering practical, measurable outcomes across the network. This is not a policy forum or theoretical discussion. It is a practice-led conference, focused on real-world application, performance data and lessons learned from projects across Australia and internationally.

Conference Focus
Under the theme Rebuilding Australia from Beneath the Surface, the 2026 program will explore how industry can deliver infrastructure outcomes that are:

  • Resilient – Designed and constructed to withstand extreme weather events, increasing traffic demands and long-term performance pressures.
  • Sustainable – Driving improved environmental outcomes through carbon reduction, resource efficiency and the increased reuse of in-situ and recycled materials.
  • Cost-Effective – Maximising whole-of-life value through smarter design, reduced maintenance interventions and more efficient construction methodologies.

Applied Practice & Performance Forum
A key feature of the 2026 Conference is the Applied Practice & Performance Forum: Ground, Materials and Stabilisation Outcomes Beneath the Surface. This dedicated technical stream is an evidence-led forum focused on applied practice and measurable performance outcomes.

Bringing together asset owners, designers, constructors and researchers, the forum will examine:

  • Technical delivery and construction methodologies
  • Performance data and validation
  • Material behaviour and treatment selection
  • Lessons learned from stabilisation, recycling and ground improvement projects

It is not a training session or workshop. It is a shared learning environment, designed to connect specification, design intent and on-ground delivery outcomes.

Call for Abstracts – Now Open
Abstract submissions are now open for the 2026 Conference. We are seeking presentations that demonstrate applied outcomes, project experience and measurable performance, including:

  • Case studies from local government and state road authorities
  • Contractor-led delivery insights and innovations
  • Design approaches and decision-making frameworks
  • Performance monitoring, data and validation
  • Sustainability outcomes and carbon reduction in practice
  • Lessons learned – what worked, what didn’t, and why

Submissions that focus on real-world application and evidence-based outcomes will be prioritised.

Who Should Attend
The AustStab National Conference is designed for professionals involved in the planning, design, delivery and management of infrastructure, including:

  • Local Government engineers and asset managers
  • State Road Authorities and transport agencies
  • Contractors and delivery partners
  • Consultants, designers and technical specialists
  • Researchers and industry leaders

Why Attend

  • Gain insight into proven approaches being applied across Australia
  • Understand how to deliver resilient, sustainable and cost-effective outcomes
  • Learn from real projects, real data and real lessons
