Theme: Recycling the Road Ahead – Resilient | Sustainable | Cost-Effective
Tuesday, 12 August 2025 |  Adelaide, South Australia

AustStab is excited to invite abstract submissions for technical papers to be presented at the 2025 Pavement Recycling and Stabilisation Conference. We are particularly keen to embrace papers that push disruption in thought, challenge traditional practices and propose bold, innovative approaches. This conference will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, engineers, researchers and practitioners to explore innovative strategies, cutting-edge technologies and practical solutions shaping the future of road construction and maintenance.

Conference Theme

This year’s theme, Recycling the Road Ahead – Resilient | Sustainable | Cost-Effective, highlights the critical role of pavement recycling and stabilisation in addressing today’s infrastructure challenges. As Australia’s largest assets – its roads – face increasing demands due to climate variability, resource constraints and cost pressures, our focus will be on creating road networks that are:

  • Resilient: Built to endure extreme weather events, traffic loads and long-term wear.
  • Sustainable: Prioritising environmental responsibility through carbon reduction, resource efficiency and innovative recycling practices.
  • Cost-Effective: Delivering long-term economic value through smarter design, reduced maintenance and efficient construction processes.

The conference will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration between industry stakeholders and showcasing the advancements that are transforming Australia’s infrastructure landscape.
